India vs England, Lord’s Test has become memorable due to a disputed moment on the fourth day. The controversy is about Indian bowler Mohammad Siraj and England batsman Ben Docket. Actually, in the first session on the fourth day, Siraj got Ben Docket caught by Jasprit Bumrah. At the time of celebration of this victory, Siraj’s shoulder was touched by Ben Docket. Siraj can be punished for this incident.
This case is of the sixth over of England’s innings. On the fifth ball of the over, Jasprit Bumrah caught the catch of Ben Docket. Siraj celebrated this wicket in a passionate manner, meanwhile, inadvertently his shoulder touched the shoulder of Docket. However, the replays revealed that Ben Docket turned towards Siraj, due to which both of them collided with their shoulders.
Who will get punishment?
Players cannot have physical contact with each other under Article 2.12 in the ICC rules. If any of Siraj or Dock is found guilty, then they can be punished on the charge of Level 1 or Level 2. A player gets punished when he hit another player intentionally.
Earlier, Siraj was seen full of enthusiasm in the last overs of the third day. Shortly before the stumps, Jack Croi was deliberately delaying the match. Due to this, there was an argument between Siraj and Crlay, Shubman Gill also attended this ruckus.
