Former separatist leader in Jammu and Kashmir, Bilal Ghani Lone said on Saturday (July 19) that the Hurriyat Conference is responsible for its irrelevance itself and is now in a passive state. He also criticized Pakistan for disturbances and cracks in Jammu and Kashmir. Loan’s comment is different from the traditional separatist stance, in which he admitted that both Hurriyat and Pakistan have lost opportunities to bring progress in the region.
According to the former separatist, the main inspiration behind entering mainstream politics is the next generation. He urged the younger generation to accept the reality that “India is a great power, which is not possible to fight.” Loan advised the youth not to see the country with the glasses of political parties, but to see India as India to make a place for themselves within the country.
People had expressed confidence in Hurriyat, But the current truth is different from that
Lone said, “The current generation should be told the truth about the last 35 years as they have no other option but to enter this new political field, as the politics of exploitation has to be stopped. Loan said in a special conversation with PTI video that the separatist organization Hurriyat Conference, formed in 1993, has lost its relevance in the valley.
He said, “Hurriyat is not relevant today. Hurriyat is also not active. To say honestly, when you talk about Hurriyat today, it is not present anywhere in Kashmir. ”He admitted that people had expressed their trust in Hurriyat in the past, but the current truth is different from it.
He said, “The Hurriyat Conference has lost its relevance because we could not take steps. The concept of Hurriyat must have been good at that time. But when we look at the Hurriyat today, it does not look active and the Hurriyat has fallen somewhere, there is no doubt.
Criticism of Pakistan’s role in Kashmir
Bilal Gani Lone also criticized the role of Pakistan equally and said, “We have heard many statements, but nothing has come out of them.” Pakistan should help in improving the situation here instead of creating a rift in Kashmir. ”He also rejected the idea that Pakistan would ever forcefully achieve Kashmir. He described it as a very silly idea.
Loan gave an example of recently increased tension on the border to clarify his point, in which there was a war -like situation for 48 hours. He said, “There was not even an inch change on the border.” He said that Kashmiris will now have to move forward. We have to get out of this confusion, whether it is with Pakistan or without it, we have to get out of it. ”
Lone regretted the defeat of separatist movement
Loan expressed deep regret on the failures of the separatist movement, saying, “Hurriyat conference had received a lot of opportunities, we missed somewhere. We could do something for our people, but we could not do it. This is the reality, be honest about it. ”
The former separatist clearly acknowledged the failures of the past, saying, “Their inclination towards mainstream politics is not for political gains, but is due to personal conviction of advancing a real political process.” He said on his life journey, “I have no regrets to stay in another court, but the only regret, which is very big, is that we could not do anything.” A lot could have been done, but we could not do. “He summarized his heart change with a Hindi saying,” Late Aaye Aaye Aaye. “
I am not in the race for CM or MLA post- Lone
On his move to come to mainstream politics from separatist politics, Lone said that he is not in the race for any post like Chief Minister or MLA, but inspired by his desire to repay his people’s debt. He said, “I think I have to pay the loan.” So it is time for me to repay the debt.
He said, “Their new political discourse to the people will be focused on the future of the new generation by moving beyond the basic facilities like road, electricity and water. We have to talk about their future, including their education, health facilities and possibilities to establish business.”
Do not see India with glasses of political parties- Kashmiri-loan
He underlined that the basic inspiration of his new political journey is the next generation. He said, “Violence did not give us anything. Violence has brought only destruction here. It has eliminated generations. Today Kashmiri is nowhere and he is a victim of harassment, for which he holds the violence that has been going on for years. “
He appealed to the people not to look at India from the perspective of political parties like Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or Congress, but look at India as India and try to find a place for themselves. ”The former separatist said that those who have tried to defeat India, have failed badly and people will now have to accept this reality.
370 torture psychological victory for Kashmiris- Loan
Loan directly assessed the situation after Article 370 was canceled, saying, “Although this provision may be politically hollow, it is a psychological victory for Kashmiris. The BJP government may have won a military war by removing Article 370, but has lost the Kashmiris by controlling and suppressed.”
Loan, however, immediately said that he is a very small man to advise Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He urged the central government not to hug the Kashmiris and not see the region from the glasses of the vote bank. He said, “The government should come and feel Kashmir himself and provide a pleasant experience to the people.” According to the loan, the government should listen to the people beyond political parties.
The biggest damage in Kashmir was faith- loan
Loan said about security that the situation is of first class, but it is being maintained with the force of the pole. He insisted that the biggest loss in Kashmir has been believed.
He said that the process of reconciliation should start not among the countries, but among their own people. He said that a new chapter of honesty with the new generation should be started, which is ignorant of the past.
