Deputy Chairman Neelam Gorhe reacts on video
Reacting to the viral video of Tanushree Dutta, the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council, Neelam Gorhe said that the case of domestic violence is very serious and such incidents are happening in many parts of the country, women are being cooked in a cooker. It should not be ignored by just watching the video, the police will definitely take cognizance of it. We have laws in this regard, Family Court is also present in Maharashtra. I will appeal to the National Commission for Women (NCW) to examine this video and give relief to Tanushree Dutta. I will also talk to the State Women’s Commission on this subject.
