He informed that five prestigious universities of the United Kingdom (UK) will soon open their campuses in India. This announcement was made by PM Modi recently during the signing of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the UK. Through this agreement, cooperation in the field of trade, investment and education between the two countries will be stronger.
PM Modi said that now Indian students will not need to go to UK. In the country itself, they will get the same level of education that gives institutions like Oxford, Cambridge or London School of Economics. Apart from this, this initiative is an important attempt to bring education to global standard in India.
Employment will also increase in the country
With the arrival of these universities, not only will revolution in the field of education in India, but new employment opportunities will also open. Education professionals, research scholars, admin staff and technical teams will get work. This will also strengthen the economy of the country.

PM Modi also said that his government aims to make India a global hub of education. Under this, foreign universities have been allowed to open campus in India in the new education policy (NEP).
