The Samajwadi Party on Tuesday lodged a protest against Maulana Sajid Rashidi, who made alleged objectionable and anti -women comments against Samajwadi Party MP Mrs. Dimple Yadav. The former SP secretary has described making an insult to all women as an insult on Dimple Yadav.
Party workers led by senior Samajwadi Party leader and former metropolitan secretary Aftab Ahmed and city secretary Vijay Yadav reached Shahpur on Tuesday 29 July and lodged a protest and demanded strict legal action against the convict. With this, the SPs have warned of a big movement if the demand is not met.
SP workers submitted memorandum
Submitting a memorandum to Shahpur Inspector Neeraj Rai, the SP leaders said that Sajid Rashidi’s comment is not just a female MP, but an insult to all the women’s power of the country. He said that this comment is not only indecent, but is also going to spread hatred in the society.
He demanded that he should be arrested immediately by registering an FIR against Maulana Sajid Rashidi, so that the dignity of women in the country can be safe. Let me tell you that the leaders of the opposition have also attacked fiercely against Sajid Rashidi. This case has come to light after Dimple Yadav went to the mosque.
What did the former city secretary of SP say
Aftab Ahmed, former city secretary of SP metropolis, said, ‘The vulgar comment made on Dimple Yadav is an insult to every woman who is playing an active role in the country’s democracy. Such statements should not be spared.
The SP leader said that if the government and the administration did not take quick action in this matter, the Samajwadi Party will be obliged to organize a mass movement. Shubham Yadav, Golu Yadav, Satya Prakash Jaiswal, Bhavnath Yadav, Churchill Officer, Sudeep Jacob, Ehtesham Khan, Vijay Yadav, Aftab Ahmed, Vinod Yadav were present on the occasion.
