The Indian mid-size SUV segment has been dominated by Hyundai Creta for a long time, but now Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Renault, Nissan and Kia are preparing to launch their new mid-size SUVs to challenge this dominance. In these upcoming models, customers are going to get new design, powerful engines and a lot of advanced features. Let’s know about these 5 new SUVs.

Maruti Suzuki Escudo

  • Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its new SUV Escudo in India. It is expected to get strong hybrid and CNG options with a 1.5-liter petrol engine. With panoramic sunroof, premium features and Adas technology, it can come by the end of SUV 2025.

Tata Sierra

  • Tata Motors is going to launch its iconic Sierra again in the market. This mid-size SUV petrol, diesel and electric-are likely to come in all three versions. It can also be launched by the end of 2025 with large infotainment screens, ventilated seats, connected car features and strong safety packages.

Renault Duster facelift

  • Renault is preparing to present its popular SUV Duster in a completely new avatar. The new model can get modern design, high ground clearance, 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine and all-wheel drive (AWD) option. It is likely to be launched in the last months of 2025.

Nissan’s new SUV

  • Nissan is going to bring its new SUV based on the upcoming Renault Duster. Despite the design and the separation of the badges, the features will be mostly like the duster, but it can get exclusive interior color and special technology package. This SUV will be launched in the beginning of 2026.

Kia Celtose facelift

Kia Motors is planning to launch the new generation model of its best-selling SUV Celtose at the beginning of 2026. It will get a new design, upgraded adas, hybrid version and more premium cabin, which will make it a straight competition of Creta.
