Kamakhya express derailed: There has been a big railway accident once again in Odisha. Here 11 AC coaches of Kamakhya Express, which run between Bangalore and Assam, derailed, after which there was an outcry among the passengers. It is being told that the train has been derailed near Manguli Passenger Halt of Chaudwar area. NDRF and medical teams have been sent for rescue operation.
The Bangalore-Kamahya Superfast Express train near Chaudwar in Cuttack, Odisha derailed today (30 March) at 11.54 pm. The 11 AC coaches of the train derailed, after which the route of Neelachal Express, Dhauli Express, Purulia Express has been diverted. Relief and rescue operations are going on at the scene. Medical team, NDRF and fire brigade employees are engaged in rescue operation. Efforts are being made to ensure that trapped passengers reach their destination safely.

What did the railway official tell?
Ashok Kumar Mishra, CPRO of East Coast Railway, said that we have received information about the derailment of some coaches of Kamakhya Express (15551). He said, ‘So far we have got information that 11 AC coaches have derailed. No one is injured. All passengers are safe. As far as we have got information, accident relief trains, emergency medical equipment have been sent.

The CPRO said that senior railway officials are also going to reach the spot soon. DRM Khurda Road, GM/ECOR and other senior level officials have reached the spot. He said that only after investigation, it will be known how this incident happened. Our first priority is to divert trains waiting on the route and start restoration work.
CM Himanta said- in contact with the government and Odisha government
On the incident of derail of Kamakhya Express, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, ‘I have received information about the incident related to 12551 Kamakhya Express in Odisha. Assam CMO is in touch with the Odisha government and the Railways. We will contact all the affected people.
