Us President Donald Trump: Strict Tare on Russian Oil! Trump indicated tariffs on other countries including India, shocking statement after meeting with Putin

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday (16 August 2025) that he may have to consider putting recipes on the countries in the next two to three weeks, who are buying oil from Russia. However, he ruled out the need to do so at the moment.

Trump said in an interview to Fox News that because of what happened today, I feel that there is no need to think about this (tariff). Maybe I have to think after two or three weeks. This statement came after Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s meeting in Alaska.

Trump has imposed 50% tariff on India

Trump’s comment is directly related to oil trade between India and Russia and possible charges on China. Trump warned last month that secondary sanctions would be imposed on countries trading from Moscow. He had threatened to put 100 percent tariff on Russia and gave him 50 days to end the Ukraine war. India is already facing the impact of these steps. Trump had imposed 25 percent tariffs on India, which was reduced to 50 percent after a few days. Half of these fees have been implemented and the remaining will be applicable on August 27.

Finance Minister warning

US Finance Minister Scott Besant told Bloomberg TV that if things are not good in the trump-Putin meeting held in Alaska, then secondary fees can be increased on India. He also alleged that India is taking a slight stance in business talks with America.

What is India’s attitude on Trump’s tariff?

India has clarified many times that its relations with America are multidimensional and broad and business is just a part of it. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs had said that relations between countries should not be seen “by third party glasses”.
