Ganeshotsav is celebrated in Maharashtra. The fans of Bollywood industry are eyeing the stars who bring their home Bappa with great respect. Tales and stories are also listened to and told with a lot of heart. Actress Sai Manjrekar also narrated a similar interesting anecdote about Bappa. Sai made her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s Dabangg-3. She is the daughter of famous film director and actor Mahesh Manjrekar.
Sai shared childhood memories
He told IANS a lovely story of childhood. Said, “There are many memories related to Ganeshotsav. There were ‘Manjire’ in our house, it is called ‘Janje’ in Marathi. It is played during the aarti. We were 8-9 siblings, but Manjire were only 5, so we always used to fight for them. And the three who did not get it, they had to clap. We used to fight a lot.
Say Manjrekar further said, “I think I am excited for the most 10 days of Ganesh Chaturthi in a year, because my whole family comes. There are always people in the house. We laugh, play, and make delicious food. At the time of aarti, we have a lot of fun. So I think I like all the memories of Ganesh Chaturthi till now.”
Papa considers Mahesh Manjrekar inspiration
Say Manjrekar had earlier said in a post that his father has always been his inspiration, but never his shortcut. Meaning he never took advantage of his father’s name.
For the first time, when Sai decided to act, her father supported the actress. Also said that for this, Say will have to work hard himself and will not recommend him for any film.
The actress recently appeared in the Telugu action thriller film ‘Arjun Son of Vyjayanti’. Directed by Pradeep Chilukuri, the film also stars Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Vijay Shanti, Sohail Khan and Srikanth. The actress has not announced her new film yet.
