Former India captain and Congress leader Mohammad Azharuddin can be included in the Telangana cabinet. This discussion has intensified because it has been decided to nominate them for the Legislative Council (MLC) under the Governor quota. This decision is shocking because a few weeks ago, Azharuddin declared himself a Congress candidate for the by -election in Jubilee Hills Assembly.
After losing during the 2023 elections in his home area, he was ready to enter the field once again. Actually this seat is vacant since the death of MLA Maganti Gopinath. After being nominated for the post of MLC, Telangana Congress unit executive president Mohammad Azharuddin expressed happiness over this.
Azharuddin wrote on social media X (first Twitter), “I feel highly honored by the cabinet’s decision to nominate me for the post of MLC under Governor’s quota in Telangana.
He also thanked the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of the state and wrote, “I am committed to serve my kingdom with honesty and dedication.”

The IANS report, citing Congress leaders, wrote that Azharuddin’s enrollment as LMC will strengthen their way to join the state cabinet.
