The eighth and final team for the Asia Cup has also announced their squad. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a 17 -member squad, handed over to the team’s captaincy Mohammad Wasim. The Asia Cup will begin on September 9 and UAE will start its campaign with the match against India on 10 September (Asia Cup India vs UAE Match Date). Wasim is also captaining the UAE team in the tri -series against Pakistan and Afghanistan.
All the players playing in the tri -series have been kept in the Asia Cup squad. At the same time, 2 new players have been included in the team in the form of Matillah Khan and Simranjit Singh. Matillah Khan will be returning to the UAE team after May this year, while Simranjit Singh played the last match for UAE in December 2024.

UAE will play Asia Cup for the first time since 2016
The UAE has so far participated in the Asia Cup three times, but after 2016 it has never participated in this tournament. Although the Asia Cup 2025 is hosted by the BCCI, but the BCCI agreed to organize a tournament in UAE due to playing on the neutral venue with Pakistan.
Talking about UAE, it has been placed in Group A along with India, Pakistan and Oman in the Asia Cup 2025. His first match will be held on September 10, Oman on 15 September and Pakistan on 17 September.
