After the end of the agreement with Dream 11, BCCI is looking for the title sponsor of the Indian cricket team. Earlier, the board has increased the base price of jersey sponsorship. According to the report, Rs 3.5 crore for bilateral matches and Rs 1.5 crore for multitim tournament has been fixed at Rs 1.5 crore. With this, BCCI is expected to earn more than Rs 400 crore in 3 years.

The BCCI has set new base prices for the Indian cricket team’s jersey sponsorship. Now the board will get Rs 3.5 crore for the bilateral series. 1.5 crore has been fixed for a match in multitim tournaments like Asia Cup, Champions Trophy, T20 or ODI World Cup etc. About 130 matches are to be held in 3 years, BCCI’s earnings are expected to be more than 400 crores.

Dream 11 was the title sponsor of the Indian team, with which the agreement is over after the online gaming law. Now BCCI is looking for a new agreement. On September 16, the new sponsor will bid.

New base price for sponsor

  • Bilateral series (when India will play with one country)- Rs 3.5 crore per match
  • In ICC or ACC tournament (World Cup, Asia Cup, Champions Trophy etc.)- Rs 1.5 crore per match

This base price is higher than before. Till now the board used to get Rs 3.17 crore for a bilateral series match and Rs 1.12 crore per match in the multitem tournament. That is, the board has now set a target of earning at least 10 percent more than the new agreement.

Let us know that in the bilateral series, the sponsor has a little more benefit because the company’s logo is seen in front of the jersey. In ICC and ACC tournaments, logo is seen only on the side of jersey.

BCCI wants a 3 -year agreement

The BCCI has made it clear that it does not want to deal temporary sponsorship. He wants to deal with the next 3 years. During this time, 2026 T20 World Cup, 2027 ODI World Cup will come and the Indian team will play around 130 matches in total. According to this, it is estimated that BCCI will earn more than Rs 400 crore in 3 years.

These companies cannot bid

The BCCI gave new rules to bid on 2 September. Betting, gaming, crypto or tobacco companies cannot bid for sponsorship. Apart from this, companies making jerseys of sports, banking, cold drinks, insurance, mixer-grinders, locks, fans, and financial companies have also been excluded from it as their products are already connected to other Sponsors of BCCI.
