What does research say?

Major reason for infertility in men

  • Smoking and alcohol: These habits reduce both the quality and number of sperm.

  • Lack of stress and sleep: Continuous stress causes hormonal imbalance, which reduces fertility.
  • Overweight or obesity: Research suggests that obesity reduces testosterone levels.
  • Avoiding testing: Many men do not get testing due to shame or hesitation, due to which treatment starts late.

Why is fertility test important?

According to doctors, if success is not being achieved even after trying for 1 year, then both men and women must do fertility testing. This causes the problem quickly and increases the chances of treatment through advance techniques like IVF, IUI.

Need for support and awareness

Couples struggling with infertility often feel themselves alone. In such a situation, the support of family and friends matters a lot. Experts believe that it is very important to break the social stigma (stigma) about infertility. It is possible to solve the problem by openly interacting and taking advice from a doctor in time.
