In India’s neighboring country, Nepal, the country has been burnt over the social media ban case. The youth of Nepal are on the streets and are demonstrating aggressively against the government. Amidst all this, India has issued an advisory for its citizens in Nepal on Tuesday (September 9, 2025).
India is worried about its citizens in view of the Gen Z protests in Nepal, as at least 19 people have died and more than 300 people have been injured in this violent protest. In advisory, New Delhi has appealed to Indians living in Nepal to take precautions and follow the guidelines issued by the officials.
What was said in the official statement of the Ministry of External Affairs
The Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) has said in an official statement that he has been keeping an eye on Nepal’s matters since yesterday and is also concerned about the performance of the youth. The statement said, “We are closely monitoring the developments in Nepal since yesterday and are very sad about the death of many youth. Our condolences and prayers are with the families of the dead. We wish the injured to get well soon.”
Curfew imposed in many cities of Nepal
The statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs said that we have also taken cognizance that the Nepali Authority has imposed curfew in Kathmandu and many other cities of Nepal. In Nepal, Indian citizens are advised to take precautions and follow the steps and guidelines issued by Nepali authorities. “Nepal’s Home Minister Ramesh writer submitted his resignation during the cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence. At the same time, the protesting youth is adamant on demanding the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
