Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw is seen getting caught in difficulties. Mumbai’s Dindoshi Sessions Court has imposed a fine of Rs 100 on him. This action was taken due to not filing an answer on the petition filed by social media influencer Sapna Gill. The court had earlier given Shaw the last chance to file an answer, but there was no response from his side.

The whole matter is in February 2023, when there was a dispute between Prithvi Shaw and Sapna Gill in a pub in Andheri area of Mumbai. Gill alleges that a friend had demanded a selfie from Shaw, which Shaw rejected and snatched the phone. After this, when Sapna Gill tried to intervene, Shaw and her friends assaulted and also made serious allegations of molestation.

Sapna Gill says that after the incident, she tried to register an FIR with the police, but the police did not register a case. After this, he filed a petition in the magistrate court in Andheri. In April 2024, the Magistrate Court admitted that the FIR was delayed, but the allegations are serious, so the investigation of the case is necessary. The court ordered the Santacruz police to investigate and submit a report under Section 202 of CRPC.

Now the Sessions Court has imposed a fine by not taking a response on the petition against Prithvi Shaw. The police investigation report will prove to be important at the next hearing of the case.

What did Sapna Gill’s lawyer tell

Advocate Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh, who is the side of Sapna Gill, said in a conversation with ABP News, “Mumbai’s Dindoshi Sessions Court has fined Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw. He was accused of molestation and assault. “

Deshmukh further said that, the court showed strictness in this case and said that Shaw was sent several times and his lawyers were also present in the court on many dates, despite this, the answer has not been filed till now and only time is being sought.

When will the next hearing be next

Deshmukh said that it is the general strategy of Shaw to constantly defer the hearing. He alleged that it seems that Shaw has no concrete answer to his conduct and misconduct. The next hearing in the case will be held on 16 December.
