Meanwhile, news has come that former Chief Justice of Nepal’s Supreme Court Sushil Karki can be the new Prime Minister of the country.
Gen-Z leaders held a virtual meeting with Sushila Karki for about 5 hours. During this time, the situation and the challenges of the country were discussed. Sushila Karki got 58 percent votes in voting after this meeting, while Balen Shah has got only 32 percent votes.
Sushila leads in public opinion
According to Genz Nepal’s Twitter Poll, when people were asked who is the most suitable leader to take Nepal, 58.9% of the voters chose Sushila Karki. After this, Balen Shah finished second with 32.1% votes, while Sagar Dhakal and Harka Sampang got 7.1% and 1.8% votes respectively.

Who is Sushila Karki?
Sushila Karki was born on 7 June 1952 in Biratnagar. She was the eldest of seven siblings. After completing the law studies, he started advocating from Baratnagar in 1979. In 1985, Karki worked as an assistant teacher at Mahendra Multiple Campus, Dharan. In 2007, she became Senior Advocate.
Many big decisions came under Sushila’s tenure
On 22 January 2009, she was appointed an Ed-Hawk Judge of the Supreme Court and became a permanent judge in 2010. In 2016, she became the first woman Chief Justice of Nepal. This was a historic moment for Nepal. From 11 July 2016 to 7 June 2017, he took over the reins of the Supreme Court. Many major decisions were taken during his tenure. In 2017, the Maoist Center and the Nepali Congress brought an impeachment motion on them, which was opposed across the country. The Supreme Court ordered the Parliament to stop and the proposal was eventually withdrawn. This episode made him a person who stood up despite pressure.
Sushila Karki’s husband is a big leader of Nepali Congress
Karki was married to Durga Prasad Suvedi, from whom she met while studying in Banaras. Suvedi was the famous youth leader of the Nepali Congress at that time and was active in movements against the Panchayati rule, even in an aircraft kidnapping case, his name was revealed. After retiring from the judiciary, Karki also started writing. His autobiography ‘Nyaya’ was published in 2018 and in 2019 his novel ‘Kara’ came, which is based on the experiences of Biratnagar jail.
