Olympic Medalist Bajrang Punia Father Death: Bronze medalist Bajrang Punia’s father has passed away at the Olympics. Indian wrestler’s father Balwan Singh Poonia breathed his last at 6.15 pm today. Bajrang Poonia has shared this information through his X account. Wrestler wrote that ‘Bapuji is not with us’.
Bajrang Poonia has shared an emotional post on his father’s death. The Indian wrestler wrote that ‘he had taken us people here with great hard work. They were the backbone of our entire family. Do not understand what life would be without them without them. In this post, Bajrang Poonia further informed that his father’s funeral will be held at the ancestral village Khudan at 11 am on Friday, 12 September.
Bapuji did not stay with us. He breathed his last at six o’clock this evening.
He had taken us people here with great hard work. They were the backbone of our entire family. Do not understand what life would be without them.
His last rites will be performed in our village Khudan at 11 am.

Bajrang Poonia’s father also used to do wrestling
Bajrang Poonia, father Balwan Poonia himself was also a wrestler. He taught his son to wrestle from his childhood. Bajrang Poonia made her mark globally from wrestling from her father and illuminated the name of the whole country not only her father. Bajrang Poonia won a bronze medal in the 65 kg freestyle wrestling in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. India’s wrestler’s dream of winning the Olympic medal was fulfilled only when his father landed his young son in the arena.
