BPSC 71st Prelims Exam 2025: The time for the 71st preliminary examination of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has come. This exam will be held tomorrow i.e. on 13 September 2025. The exam will be in single shift from 12 noon to 2 pm. The Commission has given strict advice to the candidates to reach ahead of time, so that there is no problem.

BPSC has made it clear that the candidates should reach the examination center two and a half hours in advance. The gates will be closed at 11 am and after that admission will not be available under any circumstances. That is, if a candidate will reach at 11:01, then he will not get a chance to take the exam. Therefore, there is an appeal to all the candidates to prepare in advance and reach the examination center on time.

To take the exam, candidates are required to bring their e-admit card. Along with this, an additional copy of the admit card will also be needed, on which the candidate will have to sign and hand it over to the delegation. Apart from this, the photo ID which is mentioned in the admit card, it is necessary to bring the same ID with you.

Barcode and photo-signal on admit card are required

BPSC has said that candidates should ensure that the barcode is clearly printed with roll number on their e-admit card. Candidates whose photos or signatures are not clear will have to submit additional documents at the examination center. For this, the Commission has provided a manifesto on its website, which will have to be filled and submitted to the examination center with colored photos and certified signature.

Can’t take it inside?

Many things are banned in the examination center. Things like mobile phone, Bluetooth, WiFi device, smartwatch, general watch, electronic pen, pager, calculator are completely banned. Apart from this, materials like marker, white fluid, blade and eraser cannot be taken inside. If such items are found with any candidate, then it will be considered misconduct and strict action will be taken.

Exam process will be very strict

Before the commencement of the examination, there will be videography of every stage from opening the seal of confidential material to the end. Especially the faces and activities of the candidates will be monitored. Only after the examination, candidates will be able to leave the examination hall. However, the question book will be allowed to be taken with you.

5 years ban on misconduct

The Commission has clearly stated that if a candidate is found to be involved in the misconduct, not only the candidature of this exam will be over, but he will also be denied to appear in any BPSC exam for the next five years. If a rumor is found guilty of spreading, he will be banned for three years.

Negative marking

There will also be negative marking in the preliminary examination. One-third points will be deducted on every wrong answer. If a candidate changes the answer using the marker, white fluid or eraser, then the negative marking will be applicable even after considering it wrong.

Chance to file a complaint

If a candidate sees any problem related to the question paper or examination, then they can file a complaint with the affidavit within 48 hours of the end of the examination. The Commission has assured that all complaints will be investigated in 72 hours.
