A heartbreaking case has come to light in Gonda, UP. The negligence of the doctor and staff in a nursing home caused chaos due to the death of two newborns. Surprisingly, this nursing home was running without registration. Currently, after the complaint, action has been started by sealing the nursing home.
The case is of SBS Nursing Home located on Bahraich Road in Nagar Kotwali area. Who was operating NICU without registration.
Family members accused, Doctor and staff absconding
Mohit Kumar, a family of the deceased newborns, alleged that a doctor posted at the District Women’s Hospital had admitted her child to her private hospital. After the death of the child, the hospital administration refused to hand over the body, which led to the uproar by the angry family. The doctor and hospital staff escaped from the spot on the information of the uproar. The family informed the police at number 112, after which the police handed over the dead body to the family.
Deputy CMO took action, Nursing home seal
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the deputy CMO reached the spot and sealed the illegal nursing home. CMO Rashmi Verma said that no doctor was present in this fake nursing home located near the BJP office on Bahraich Road. The investigation found that after the death of a newborn, his body was bringing out his family, while the other newborn was found inside in dead state, which was delivered in Katra Bazaar CSC. The nursing home has been sealed in the presence of police on the spot, and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
Family members plead for justice from DM
The victim Mohit Kumar reached the District Magistrate’s office on Friday and submitted an application to the DM. He shared his pain in a conversation with the media and demanded strict action against the Health Department and the illegal nursing home.
Question on the negligence of the health department
The incident highlights the operation of illegal nursing homes in Gonda and the lack of monitoring of the health department. Local people say that such fake hospitals are operating without any fear, which are becoming a threat to the general public.
Investigation of case started
The CMO has assured that legal action will be taken in this matter and the culprits will not be spared. At present, police and health department teams are investigating the case.
