Pli scheme for white goods: The government is going to reopen the application window for PL Scheme (PLIWG) for White Goods (AC and LED lights). The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) said on Thursday that this new window will be open from September 15 to October 14, 2025.
The Commerce and Industry Ministry said that the deadline of the application is being reopened in view of the desire of industries under the scheme. In view of the plan for more investment of companies under the scheme, the government again gave a chance. This is the fourth round of applications under this scheme, which reflects increasing domestic demand and better confidence. It was started in April 2021.
What is different rule?
There has been no change in terms and conditions for the scheme. Applications for this can only be submitted through the online portal (https://pliwg.dpiit.gov.in/). However, the matter of keeping in mind is that no application will be accepted after the deadline.
Both new applicants and current beneficiaries will be able to apply for this. Applicants or companies already existing will be able to increase their investment in different segments. New applicants are also eligible to join the scheme. However, in this era, the approved applicants will be eligible for PLI benefits till FY 29 (the remaining period of the scheme). Based on the investment category, new applicants will get incentive for a maximum of two years, while the current beneficiaries changing the category will get only one year incentive.
