Green chili not only enhances the taste of food but is also beneficial for health. It contains vitamins A, C and many minerals, which help in increasing the immunity of the body. This requires only good soil, enough sunlight and little patience.

Prepare plant from seed

If you want to grow green chillies at home, then it will first require its seed. If you want, you can buy seeds from the market or you can dry the seeds from the chili used in the house.

  • Dry the seeds for 2-3 days and wrap it in cloth.
  • After this, sow them in small pot or pot in 2-3 cm deep.
  • After adding seeds, cover it with light soil and sprinkle water.
  • Sprouts will start coming out in about 7 to 10 days and gradually small plants will be ready.

What should be the soil?

Light and water absorbing soil is the best for cultivation of green chillies. If you are growing in the pot, then prepare a little sand and organic manure (cow dung manure or compost) in the soil of the garden. This keeps the soil soft and the roots of the plant spread easily.

Take care of sunlight and water

Green chillies need good sunlight. If you are growing it on the balcony or roof, then keep in mind that the plant gets at least 5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.

By giving more water, the roots can rot, so keep in mind that the soil is always moist but the water does not accumulate. Give light water every day in summer and add water to the gap of 2-3 days in winter.
