This year, Sharadiya Navratri starts from 22 September. The festival of Navratri and Durgapuja has special significance for Hindus. In such a situation, while referring to purity and faith on Navratri, the BJP MLA has written a letter and appealed to keep the non -vegetarian food closed.
What did BJP MLA Karnail Singh write in the letter?
BJP MLA from Shakurbasti, Karnail Singh, said in a letter written to the officials of other stores including KFC, “The holy festival of Navratri is going to start in the coming days. This festival is associated with very important religious and cultural faith for most of the population of the National Capital Region (NCR).
Appeal not to serve non -vegetarian food
The BJP MLA further wrote, “Non veg dishes should be completely discontinued at all your establishments from 22 September to 2 October during the 9 days of Navratri. This step is very important to maintain social harmony by respecting religious sentiments.
‘Hope you respect our faith and feelings’
Expressing hope, Karnail Singh further wrote, “Hope you will take positive decisions showing sensitivity on this request and will respect our faith, religious traditions and emotions.” Let us tell you that 9 different forms of Maa Durga are worshiped in Navratri.
