US President Donald Trump has demanded the return of former American airbase from Afghanistan. On this demand of Trump, a defense official of the Taliban government in Afghanistan said on Sunday (September 21, 2025) that it is not possible to have any agreement on Bagram Airbase.

Bagram is the largest airbase in Afghanistan, north of the capital Kabool and was the center of all his campaigns against the airbase Taliban during the 20 -year long war.

Trump warns Taliban government

In fact, US President Donald Trump has threatened the Taliban government of Afghanistan that the US will take strict action against Afghanistan if it is not returned to it. Whereas four years ago, American soldiers left it.

The 79 -year -old US President wrote in a post on his Truth Social Platform, ‘If Afghanistan does not return the Bagram airbase to those who (America), he will have to face bad consequences. !!!’

Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry official made a statement

On this demand of Trump, Fasihuddin Fitrat, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan, gave a statement to the local media, saying, “Some people want to withdraw this airbase through an agreement.” He said, ‘Recently some people have said that they are talking to Afghanistan to withdraw Bagram airbase. But we do not lose even an inch of land of Afghanistan for any one deal and we do not even need it.

Afghan government issued a statement threatened

After this, the Taliban government of Afitistan also issued an official statement in this regard, saying, “Afghanistan’s independence and regional integrity are the most important.”

Trump has criticized this decision several times

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly criticized the losing US rights on Bagram Airbase. This airbase becomes very important for America given the proximity with China.
