The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Team India for the 2 -match Test series against West Indies from October 2. The BCCI has selected 15 players for this series. It also includes young players like N Jagdisin, Sai Sudarshan, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Devdutt Padikkal. However, 5 star players have not found a place in this team.
1- Rishabh Pant
Team India’s star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant will not be seen playing in the Test series against the West Indies. He has not been included in the team. However, the reason for this is not their fit. Pant is still recovering from injury. It is only on his absence that N Jagadisin has been included in the team as a reserve wicketkeeper.
2- Shreyas Iyer
India-A captain Shreyas Iyer did not play in the second Test match against Australia-A. It seemed that now Shreyas Iyer would return to the Test team, but his return stopped due to Iyer’s sudden injury. It is believed that Shreyas Iyer has not been selected due to not being fully fit.
3- Sarfaraz Khan
Sarfaraz Khan, who scored runs in domestic cricket, has not been selected in the domestic Test series against the West Indies. He is scoring runs in every tournament of domestic cricket. They are also scoring centuries. Nevertheless, Sarfaraz Khan has not been selected in the Test team.
4- Karun Nair
Karun Nair, who returned to the Test team after about 10 years, has been dropped from Team India after a series. Karun Nair, who was part of Team India in the England Test series, has not been selected for the Test series against the West Indies.
5- Mohammed Shami
Star fast bowler Mohammed Shami has also not been selected for the two -match Test series against the West Indies. He is also fully fit now. Even after this, the selectors did not select him for the Test series against the West Indies.
