, Bcci New President Mithun Manhas Elected Rajiv Shukla Devajit Saikia Key Roles Annual General Meeting 2025


A new executive has been formed in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). In the annual general meeting (AGM) held in Mumbai on Friday 28 September, the Election Officer announced the names of the new officials. After this meeting, the command of Indian cricket has gone into new hands.

This time former cricketer Mithun Manhas has been selected as the President of BCCI. Rajiv Shukla has been entrusted with the responsibility as Vice-PRESIDENT. At the same time, Devjit Saikia has been made the new secretary of the board. Apart from this, Prabhtej Singh Bhatia was given Joint Secretary and A.K. Raghuram Bhat has been selected as treasurer. The new executive will take all the important decisions related to Indian cricket for the next term and will work on the policies of domestic and international tournaments.

Not only the top posts, new faces have also appeared in other important posts of BCCI. Jaydev Niranjan Shah has been elected as a member of the Apex Council. At the same time, Arun Singh Dhumal and M. Khairul Jamal Majroomdar have been made members of the Governing Council. This team will work on the operations and new schemes of Indian cricket in the coming time.

Who is Mithun Manhas?

The 45-year-old Mithun Manhas may not have played internationally for Team India, but his record in domestic cricket has been capable. He has scored 9714 runs in 157 first class matches, including 27 centuries. He has also left his mark in List-A cricket and scored 4126 runs. As the captain of the Delhi Ranji team, he performed well for a long time and many times he has taken the team towards victory.

Manhase also has experience of playing in IPL. He has played for teams like Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab and Pune Warriors. Manhas, who has shared the dressing room with veterans like Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh, has taken responsibility in both players and administrators in Jammu and Kashmir cricket.

After becoming the President of BCCI, now there will be a big responsibility on Manhas to take Indian cricket to new heights. In the coming time, they are expected to take important decisions towards strengthening the domestic structure and providing better facilities to the players.
