A major accident took place on Thursday (October 2) in Los Angeles, California. One of the largest refineries on the western coast of America caught fire in a Chevron’s L-Segundo refinery. Panic spread throughout the area due to the fire. Many of its videos have been shared on social media. The fire was so terrible that its flames were seen rising up to the top. However, soon after the information, the fire brigade vehicles reached the spot.
According to the report of ‘Reuters’, Los Angeles County Supervisor Holi Mitchell said that the fire has been controlled. The fire was in only one part of the refinery, which has not caused much damage. A local official has also confirmed that the fire was limited to only one part after the fire brigade team arrived. However, the cause of the fire is not clear yet.

Fire is also set in refinery in India
In India too, there has been an incident of fire in the refinery. In November 2024, there was a fire in the Indian Oil Corporation’s refinery in Vadodara, Gujarat. The fire spread after an explosion in a storage tank, due to which two people died. Two days later, there was a fire in Muthra’s refinery. In January this year, there was a fire in China’s Cinopec Jenhai Refinery.
