Jafar Express train has been attacked once again in Pakistan. Many passengers have been seriously injured due to the bomb blast that took place on Tuesday (7 October). Many coaches have also derailed. Baloch Republican Guards have claimed responsibility for this attack. Baloch Army had planted a remote controlled IED bomb on the tracks. This is the third major attack on Jafar Express this year.
According to the report of ‘PTI’, Jafar Express going from Rawalpindi to Quetta derailed due to IED blast. During this time many passengers were seriously injured. Immediately after getting information about the incident, security personnel reached the spot and the injured were sent to the nearest hospital.
Baloch Army claimed death of Pak soldiers
Taking responsibility for the attack on Jafar Express, Baloch Republican Guards said, “Today the Freedom Fighters of Baloch Republican Guards targeted Jafar Express in Sultan Kot with an IED blast. The train was attacked when Pakistani soldiers were traveling in it. Many Pakistani soldiers have been killed and many have also been injured due to the blast. Baloch Liberation Army takes responsibility for this attack and will carry out more such operations for freedom in future.

Third major attack on Jafar Express this year
There have been three major attacks on Jafar Express so far this year. The biggest attack took place on March 11, when the train was hijacked. 26 people died in this attack, including security personnel. However, later the security forces retaliated by killing 33 terrorists and saving 354 hostages. On August 10, six coaches were derailed due to an IED bomb blast in Mastung. Four people were injured during this period. In June 2025, four bogies of Jafar Express were derailed by another blast in Jacobabad district of Sindh. However, no one was seriously injured during this period.
