Major attack on Pakistan Army near the border, 11 PAK soldiers including Colonel-Major died, TTP took responsibility for the attack.


There was a major attack on the Pakistani Army on the night of Tuesday and Wednesday (7-8 October). Eleven Pakistani soldiers were killed in this attack by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. Many have been seriously injured. Two officers are also among the killed soldiers. According to news agency ‘Reuters’, Pakistan Army was conducting operations against TTP on the Afghanistan border. During this time an encounter took place.

19 TTP fighters have also been killed in the encounter with the Pakistani Army. The important thing is that in the last few months, TTP has intensified its attacks on Pakistani security forces.

TTP attacked in ambush

Actually TTP fighters attacked in ambush. First roadside bomb blasts were carried out in north-western Kurram district, after which firing started. The Pakistani Army said in a statement that terrorists were also killed during this operation.

Two officers of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and Major were also killed in the Pakistani Taliban attack. Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif was leading the operation, along with him Major Tayyab Rahat was also a part of the operation.

Pakistani leader Bilal Afridi has also shared a post on X for the killed Pakistani soldiers. He wrote, “Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif (39) and Major Tayyab Rahat (33) attained martyrdom along with nine brave soldiers.”

TTP took responsibility of the attack

Tehreek-e-Taliban-Pakistan (TTP) has taken responsibility for this attack. The organization claimed that its fighters had attacked the convoy. This organization wants to topple the Pakistan government and establish its own strict Islamic rule. At the same time, Pakistan says that these terrorists take training in Afghanistan and attack Pakistan, although Kabul repeatedly denies this.
