Match result: De Klerk snatched victory
However, India could not win this match. South Africa lost to India by 3 wickets with the help of a brilliant partnership between Nadine de Klerk (84 not out) and Chloe Tryon (49). South Africa achieved the target of 252 runs given by India in 48.5 overs.
De Klerk scored unbeaten 84 runs in 54 balls, hitting eight fours and five sixes. Captain Laura Vollwart also played an inning of 70 runs and gave a strong start to the team.
Richa Ghosh’s stormy innings also went in vain
Earlier, Richa Ghosh had played an explosive inning of 94 runs for India. He hit 11 fours and four sixes in 77 balls. With him, Sneh Rana (33 runs) made a quick partnership of 88 runs in 53 balls in the last overs, taking the team to a respectable score of 251.
