There is big news for engineering students who dream of becoming a part of the country’s pride and honour. Indian Army has released the official notification for 143 Technical Graduate Course (TGC-143) recruitment. Through this recruitment, eligible candidates can get direct posting to the post of Lieutenant and get the opportunity to wear the uniform of the Indian Army.
The application process has started from 8th October 2025 and candidates can apply till 6th November 2025. Candidates can submit their form anytime during this period. This recruitment is mainly for those engineering students who want to become officers in the army and contribute to the service of the country.
What is Technical Graduate Course?
Technical Graduate Course is a special recruitment process through which engineering graduates are selected as officers in the Indian Army. After completing the training, candidates are posted at the rank of Lieutenant. Candidates selected in the recruitment process get a monthly stipend of Rs 56,400 during training. After completion of training, the salary of Lieutenant will be Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500 per month as per Level 10, apart from this, different allowances are also available.
educational qualification
The candidate must have passed engineering degree from a recognized university. Acceptable streams include Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and other engineering streams. Final year students can also apply, but they must have completed their degree by July 1, 2026.
age limit
The age of the candidate should be between 20 to 27 years as on July 1, 2026. Date of birth should be between 1 July 1999 to 30 June 2006.
physical standards
For selection, candidates are required to have knowledge of 2.4 km run, 40 pushups, 6 pullups, 30 situps, 30 squats, 10 lunges and swimming.
how to apply
To apply, candidates must first visit the official website of the Indian Army www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Click on Officer Entry Apply/Login there. If the candidates are not already registered then register first.
After completing the registration process, click on Apply Online in the dashboard. After clicking on the Apply link in front of Technical Graduate Course, the application form will open. In this the candidate will have to fill his personal information, education details, contact details and other necessary information.
