According to the department, during the last 24 hours the minimum temperature increased by 1-3 degrees Celsius at some places and no major change was recorded in the maximum temperature. During the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature in Delhi remained between 27-30 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was between 38-39 degrees Celsius. During this time, winds blew from the west direction in Delhi at a speed of 20-25 km/hour and with gusts its speed reached 20-25 km/hour.

According to IMD, the sky will remain cloudy throughout the day today and light rain with thunderstorms is expected in some areas between afternoon and evening. However, the humid heat can be troublesome in some areas. During this time, surface winds can blow at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour during the day. Today the maximum temperature is expected to be between 38-39 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be between 27-30 degrees Celsius.
The department estimates that there will be no major change in the maximum temperature for the next 2 days, after which the temperature of Delhi may drop by 3-5 degrees Celsius. There will be heat and humidity at some places in Delhi on 17th and 18th July. However, in some areas there is a possibility of rain along with thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
