Seat sharing has been announced in NDA regarding Bihar Assembly elections. After consensus was reached regarding seat sharing, it has been decided that Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest elections on 29 seats. Chirag Paswan’s statement regarding seat distribution has come out.
Regarding seat sharing, Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan posted on Twitter, “We, the NDA family, have completed the seat sharing for Bihar Assembly elections 2025 in a cordial atmosphere. BJP and JDU got 101-101 seats, while LJP got 29, RLM and us got 6-6 seats.” He further said that Bihar is ready, again NDA government, this time with full force, with Bihar first, Bihari first.
Chirag Paswan’s party will contest elections on 29 seats
Actually, for the last few days there was discussion in the political circles that Chirag Paswan is adamant on the demand of 40 seats. However, now he has agreed to contest elections on 29 seats and an announcement regarding this has also been made.
How many seats among the constituent parties in NDA?
Along with this, BJP and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party JDU have got equal share in the seat sharing formula. Both parties will contest elections on 101-101 seats. Apart from this, Upendra Kushwahi’s RLM has got 6 seats. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party will also contest assembly elections on 6 seats.
Voting in two phases in Bihar
Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases on 6th and 11th November, while the counting of votes will be done on 14th November. According to the notification, candidates can file their nomination papers till October 17, while their scrutiny will be done the next day. The last date for withdrawal of names is 20th October.
In which districts voting will take place in the first phase in Bihar?
In the first phase of Bihar Assembly elections, voting will be held on a total of 121 seats on November 6, while in the second phase, voting will be held on 122 seats on November 11. The districts where voting is to be held in the first phase include Patna, Darbhanga, Madhepura, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Munger, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Buxar and Bhojpur.
