Stock Market News: The first trading day of the week in the Indian stock market, October 13, started with a huge fall. The 30-share BSE Sensex index started trading in the red at 82,049.16, down 451.66 points or 0.55 per cent. At the same time, NSE Nifty 50 also opened with a fall of 108.05 points at 25,177.30.
At 9:25, the Sensex was trading in the red at 82,247, down 253 points. At the same time, Nifty 50 was also trading at the level of 25,211 with a fall of 74 points.

On Friday, October 10, the last trading day of the week, the Indian stock market closed with a rise. Sensex closed at 82,500.82 with a rise of 328.72 points or 0.40 percent, while Nifty 50 closed at 25,285.35 with a rise of 103.55 points or 0.41 percent. Both the major indexes closed trading on the green mark.
SBIN, Maruti, Axis Bank, NTPC, PowerGrid were the top gainers from BSE basket. Whereas Tata Steel, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Titan were closed trading on the red mark. An increase was recorded in midcap and smallcap indices. Whereas Auto, Banking, FMCG indices ended the trading day trading on the green mark. However, in the last trading session of the week, shares of Nifty metal companies had caused huge losses to investors. Shares of Hind Copper Company had fallen by 6 percent.
