Former South African cricketer Hashim Amla has selected the best playing eleven of the test (All Time Best Playing 11 in Test). He has kept out Virat Kohli, one of India’s most successful Test captains, from his best playing eleven. Not only Virat but he has also ignored all the 4 batsmen in Fab-4, i.e. Steve Smith, Joe Root and Kane Williamson. Amla has selected Graeme Smith and Matthew Hayden as openers.

Hashim Amla has included Matthew Hayden and Graeme Smith as openers in his best playing 11. Smith is one of South Africa’s most successful Test batsmen and most successful Test captains. Amla has given the responsibility of number-3 to Rahul Dravid, who is called ‘The Wall’. The fourth position has been given to Ricky Ponting. Ponting and Dravid scored 13378 runs and 13288 runs respectively in their respective Test careers.
Amla has placed Jacques Kallis, who took 292 wickets with 13289 runs in Tests, at fifth position, who also contributed in bowling. Brian Lara, one of the best batsman in Test, is also not in this team, but Hashim Amla has included Sachin Tendulkar in the team, who is the highest run-scorer in Test. Tendulkar scored 15921 runs in his Test career and also scored 51 centuries.
AB de Villiers will be the wicketkeeper in Hashim Amla’s best playing 11 in Test. The responsibility of spin bowling will be handled by Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne. He has kept Dale Steyn and Glenn McGrath in the list of fast bowlers. Muralitharan had taken 800 wickets in Tests, which is the highest even today, on the other hand Warne had taken 708 wickets.
