The process of seat distribution in NDA has intensified regarding Bihar Assembly elections 2025. In this sequence, Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha released the first list of 4 candidates on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the picture of internal tussle in NDA regarding Mahua seat has also become clear.
Controversy over Mahua seat, BJP gave Paru seat in return
There were reports of differences between Upendra Kushwaha and Chirag Paswan’s party LJP (Ram Vilas) regarding Mahua seat in NDA. Kushwaha wanted to field his candidate on this seat, but BJP finally gave this seat to Chirag Paswan. In return, Kushwaha was given Paru seat, which was earlier held by BJP. Ashok Singh used to be the MLA from here.
At the same time, Chirag Paswan’s party has made Sanjay Singh its candidate from Mahua seat. The name of the candidate from Mahua seat was not declared in the first list of LJP (Ram Vilas), due to which the news of internal tension increased further.
Upendra Kushwaha’s wife will contest elections from Sasaram
Rashtriya Lok Morcha has given ticket to Madhav Anand from Madhubani. Whereas Alok Kumar Singh has been made the candidate from Dinara. Prashant Kumar Pankaj has been fielded from Ujiarpur. Snehlata has been made the candidate from Sasaram. Snehlata is the wife of RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha. Bajpatti and Paru seats have been kept vacant for now.
Amit Shah had called Delhi
Recently, Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLMO) chief Upendra Kushwaha had said that ‘Nothing is well in NDA.’ Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had called him to Delhi. The RLMA chief had announced to call an emergency meeting at the party office in Patna on Wednesday at 12.30 pm, in which the future role of the party within the NDA was to be discussed. The meeting was suddenly adjourned. There are discussions that Kushwaha changed his mind after meeting Amit Shah.
Tej Pratap Yadav also in the fray, will contest elections from new party
The contest on Mahua seat has become more interesting because former minister Tej Pratap Yadav will also contest from this seat. He recently released the first list of 21 candidates under the banner of his new party Janashakti Janata Dal (JJD). Party’s state president Madan Singh Yadav said that Tej Pratap will be the candidate from Mahua assembly seat of Vaishali district.
The JJD list includes the names of a total of 21 candidates, most of whom come from Yadav, Kushwaha and other backward castes. Due to this, there seems to be possibility of a triangular contest on Mahua seat.
