Zaira Wasim, who worked in Aamir Khan’s blockbuster Dangal, left Bollywood in 2019 citing religious reasons. Now Zaira has got married, she surprised everyone by sharing pictures of her intimate Nikah ceremony on Instagram on Friday evening.

Zaira has shared two pictures of her Nikah ceremony. In the first picture, she is seen holding a pen and signing the Nikahnama. During this, she is seen flaunting her mehendi and beautiful emerald ring. In the second picture, Zaira and her husband are seen together looking at the moon. However, this is a picture taken from their back and their faces are not visible in the photo.
The bride Zaira is seen wearing a red chunari with gold thread embroidery on her Nikah, while her husband is wearing a cream colored sherwani and matching stole. While sharing pictures of her secret marriage, Zaira simply wrote in the caption, “Qubool Hai x3.”

Zaira Wasim gained popularity at the age of 16 with Aamir Khan’s film Dangal (2016). In the film, she played the childhood character of wrestler Geeta Phogat. She received the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her strong acting. She followed this with another commendable role in Secret Superstar (2017), which further cemented her status as one of Bollywood’s most talented youngsters.
His last film was ‘The Sky Is Pink’, which starred Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. This film directed by Shonali Bose was released in October 2019.
Why did Zaira Wasim leave Bollywood?
However, in 2019, Zaira announced her departure from the film industry. He had said that acting is against his religion. In an emotional note, she said, “This field really gave me a lot of love, support and appreciation, but it also took me down the path of ignorance as I silently and unknowingly moved away from faith.” She added that the entertainment industry “interfered with her relationship with religion,” leading her to take the difficult decision to walk away from it.
