Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the first batch of BrahMos missiles manufactured at the BrahMos Aerospace Unit in Lucknow. This day will prove to be a milestone for the UP Defense Corridor. It will also give a new flight to India’s self-reliance in the defense sector.
During this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that “Lucknow has now become a city of ‘technology’ and not just ‘culture’. Now it has become a city of industries. Even in the matter of defense manufacturing, Lucknow has now become an important centre. Every step taken from here is a step towards India’s security and self-reliance.”
BrahMos missile is a symbol of India’s self-reliance
CM Yogi said in this program that this BrahMos Aerospace unit program is being implemented under the indigenous program of PM Modi. BrahMos missile shows India’s self-reliance. Under this, India will not only protect itself but will also support its friendly countries. Congratulations to PM Modi for choosing Lucknow for this.

The Chief Minister said that this center of BrahMos missile which has been developed in Lucknow under the guidance of the Defense Minister, will enrich Lucknow along with the country. This program of BrahMos missile shows India’s self-reliance. Under this, more than 15000 youth have also got jobs.
India will become self-reliant in defense sector
BrahMos is a missile of self-reliance in India’s defense needs. With BrahMos, India is capable of protecting itself and its friendly countries. PM Modi had announced two defense corridors in the country. The Prime Minister also announced a defense corridor in Uttar Pradesh. Today, defense units are being set up in all the 6 industrial corridors of the state.
Construction of defense corridor will provide employment
The missile made in Lucknow is an assurance of the country’s security. Hundreds of youth are getting employment with security from the BrahMos unit. This is the foundation stone of self-reliant India. Got employment in units like BrahMos in Lucknow, AK-203 in Amethi, BDF in Jhansi. I have just received a GST check of Rs 40 crore from the BrahMos unit.
CM Yogi said that in the coming days, we will also get GST of Rs 150-200 crore from BrahMos every year. In Jhansi, 56 thousand acres of land is being developed for the new corridor. Wherever the Defense Department needs land, the UP government will gladly provide it.
