RJD candidate Shweta Singh from Mohania assembly seat of Kaimur district has claimed that her nomination has been cancelled. However, official information on this has not been revealed yet. On the other hand, when the election officials informed about the cancellation of nomination, Shweta Suman started crying after coming out of the office.
Why was the nomination cancelled?
It is being said that this action has been taken by the Commission on the basis of investigation after the complaint by BJP. It was claimed in the complaint that Shweta Suman had filed the address of Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh in 2020, whereas this time she has shown her address as Bihar. Election officials have taken this decision after examining the available documents and previous nomination records.
What did Shweta Suman say?
Shweta Suman said, “Yesterday (Tuesday) we came for scrutiny and were given the date of today (Wednesday) regarding the caste certificate. When we went today, the first thing we were told was that we have canceled your nomination and cannot do anything. Still, my lawyer said that when you have given time, you will have to listen. The CO who certified it (caste certificate) was rejected by the same CO. The officers did not listen to a thing. Said that you in court Go.”
In this whole matter, Shweta Suman’s lawyer said, “SDO does not have the power to check the validity or duplication of the caste certificate, this is the power of the screening committee. The election form should have been accepted. The decision is taken after the decision of the screening committee. Doesn’t the person who wins lose the election in the court?”
