Stock Market Today: There was tremendous growth in the Indian stock market on the trading day of Thursday, 23 October. Both the major indexes started with a rise. The 30-share BSE Sensex index jumped 727.81 points to start the trading day at 85,154.15. At the same time, NSE Nifty 50 also opened trading with a green mark at 26,057.20 with a rise of 188.60 points or 0.73 percent. Even during Muhurta trading on Tuesday, a slight rise was recorded in Sensex and Nifty 50 and both the indices closed trading on the green mark.
By 9:25 pm, the Sensex was trading at 85,071, up 644 points. Whereas Nifty 50 was trading at 26,046 after jumping 177 points.

How was the market on Tuesday?
In the second trading session of the week, on Tuesday, October 21, there was a slight rise in the Indian stock market and both the major indexes closed with the green mark. However, on October 21, the stock market was opened for Muhurat trading only for 1 hour. The Sensex ended the trading day at 84,426.34 with a rise of 62.97 points or 0.07 percent, while the NSE Nifty 50 ended the trading day at 25,868.60 with a rise of 25.45 points or 0.10 percent.
Bajaj Finserv, Axis Bank, INFY, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors were the top gainers from the BSE basket. Talking about the top losers, Kotak Bank, ICICI, Bharti Airtel, Trent and Maruti were. A rise was recorded in the shares of Nifty 100, Nifty Midcap, Nifty Smallcap, Nifty Auto, Nifty MMCG and Nifty IT. At the same time, shares of Nifty Bank had fallen. On Tuesday’s trading day, 17 shares from the BSE basket closed on the green mark and 13 shares recorded a decline.
