Amarnath Yatra 2026: The wait of crores of Shiva devotees across the country is finally over. There is tremendous enthusiasm among the devotees regarding the holy journey of Baba Amarnath. 3rd July Amarnath Yatra starting from 2026 2 July The first batch of passengers from Jammu will leave for Srinagar.
For this, thousands of devotees from different states of the country have already reached Jammu. In view of the increasing number of passengers, the administration has further strengthened registration, security and many other important arrangements.
Crowd of devotees increased in Jammu before the departure of the first batch:
Even before the commencement of Amarnath Yatra, a huge crowd of devotees is being seen in the Yatra Base Camp and surrounding areas of Jammu. Devotees of all ages have reached Jammu with the desire to have darshan of Baba Barfani. Many families, youth and senior citizens are busy completing the prescribed procedures to participate in the yatra.
There is special enthusiasm among the devotees regarding the departure of the first batch. Many people consider it one of the most important religious journeys of their life and are trying to complete all the formalities before the journey begins.
Devotees flocking to on-spot registration camps:
Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the administration has started on-spot registration camps at many places in Jammu. Registration of those devotees who could not register beforehand is being done at these centres.
Apart from registration, necessary documents for the passengers and other formal work related to travel are also being completed at these centres. The aim of the administration is that as many devotees as possible can participate in the yatra safely as per the prescribed rules.

Many devotees are facing problems due to limited quota:
But, amidst the increasing number of devotees, the biggest challenge has emerged in the form of limited registration quota. A large number of people are reaching the on-spot registration centres, but due to limited seats available, not everyone is able to register.
Some devotees say that they have been continuously trying to register for the last two to three days. For this they have to visit different centers and wait for hours in long queues. Many passengers also told that despite standing in the queue since morning, their number could not come.
However, the administration is constantly trying to maintain the system smoothly and register more and more people as per the available quota.
Special focus on security arrangements:
In view of Amarnath Yatra, security arrangements have also been strengthened in Jammu. Additional security forces have been deployed on the travel route, registration centers and major stopping points. Various agencies are working in collaboration to keep the movement of passengers organized.
The administration is continuously appealing to the devotees to follow the prescribed guidelines, get registration done from authorized centers only and follow the safety advisories issued during the yatra.
Unique confluence of devotion and faith:
Like every year, this time too the Amarnath Yatra is not just a religious event but has emerged as a symbol of faith of crores of people. The crowd of devotees gathering in Jammu shows how deep is the reverence of the people for the darshan of Baba Barfani.
Before the commencement of the Yatra, the administration faces the challenge of maintaining smooth functioning of the arrangements, but the enthusiasm of the devotees does not seem to be diminished due to any difficulty. As the journey progresses in the coming days, the number of passengers is likely to increase further. In such a situation, timely registration, necessary documents and following the guidelines of the administration will be very important for every devotee.
