Red alert of heat wave on 19th and 20th May

According to the Meteorological Department, tomorrow, Wednesday, May 19, 2026, a red alert of heat wave has been issued in Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda and Fatehpur of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, on Thursday, May 20, 2026, red alert of heat wave has been issued in Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda, Fatehpur, Auraiya, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi and Prayagraj of Uttar Pradesh.

Important health related advice given to people

Summer is in full swing in Uttar Pradesh, and everyone seems to be troubled by the heat these days. Necessary measures are being taken to protect against heat and sunstroke. However, as a precautionary measure, the weather has advised people to drink enough water, avoid direct sunlight, take care of the elderly and children. Avoid outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours.
