He wrote on his social media, “Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will announce the match on Friday (July 10) in Melbourne. The match between Renegades vs Scorchers will be played in Chennai on December 12. At present, official information about this is yet to come from the BBL.

BBL match will be held in India for the first time
This will be the first time that Australia’s Big Bash League match will be played on Indian soil. In this way this will be a historic announcement.
According to reports, a five-member Cricket Australia delegation had gone to Chennai to inspect the facilities at the MA Chidambaram Stadium and hold direct talks with key BCCI representatives.
It is believed that both the BCCI and the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association have reacted positively to the initial proposal, which has given Cricket Australia the confidence to go ahead with its plan.
It was also reported that Australia had initially considered the possibility of organizing more than one BBL match at different grounds in India, but due to time constraints, the plan was ultimately reduced to one match at the beginning of the season. Logistics for the match could become Australia’s biggest problem.
