Australia defeated Bangladesh by 7 runs in the second T20 and won the T20 series against Bangladesh for the first time in history. However, Bangladesh could have won this do-or-die match as they had a great start while chasing the target of 197. 72 runs were scored in the powerplay and only 1 wicket fell. The score in 12 overs was 122, 75 runs were needed in 48 balls to win and 8 wickets were in hand. At one time Bangladesh’s victory probability was 34 percent. But in this thrilling match which lasted till the last over, Australia won and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Batting first, Australia scored 196 runs. Bangladesh’s openers Tanjid Hasan and Saif Hasan had made a bright start, both of them made a partnership of 48 runs in 22 balls for the first wicket. Matt Renshaw took the first wicket as Tanjid, after this Soumya Sarkar became the victim of Adam Zampa after scoring 15 runs.
There was a partnership of 57 runs for the third wicket between Parvez Hussain Amon and Saif, after which it seemed that Bangladesh would win the match. This pair was broken by Aaron Hardy, he dismissed Eamon (36).

Tauheed Hirdoy’s struggle, but could not bring victory
After this, Saif Hasan was also out in the next over (13.2 overs), he was dismissed by Joel Davis. Saif scored 42 runs in 33 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 3 fours. In the end, captain Tauheed Hirdoy struggled and scored 35 runs in 22 balls, but it was not enough to win. Bangladesh had to score 23 runs in the last over to win, Aaron Hardy took one wicket in the form of Hridoy in this over and gave 15 runs. Australia won the match by 7 runs.

Matt fibers got POTM
Australia batted first and scored 196 runs, in which Matt Reson played a brilliant inning of 89 runs. He remained unbeaten. He hit 5 sixes and 4 fours in this innings played in 52 balls. Apart from this, he also took important wickets in bowling and gave only 13 runs in 2 overs. Apart from this, Tim David also played a brilliant inning of 45 runs in 26 balls, in which he hit 4 sixes and 2 fours.
