Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ is going to hit the theaters this Friday. Ahead of the release, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved this horror comedy film with some amendments. According to reports, the film makers had completed the certification process much ahead of time to avoid any problems.

According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given 16+ rating to ‘Bhoot Bangla’. . This means that children under 16 years of age can now watch this film in theaters with their parents.

However, the board has also directed the makers to make some changes in the film. According to reports, an obscene word included in the film has been removed.
- The board has also asked to change some obscene words.
- The makers have also been ordered to remove an obscene word from the subtitle of the film.
- An offensive comment about women in the first half of the film needed to be changed.
- A warning note was also asked to be added for scenes related to religion and superstition.
- Altogether 63 scenes have been cut. Most of these cuts were short, only a second or a few seconds. The longest cut was of 1 minute 12 seconds, which was taken from a scene from the song ‘O Sundari’.
- 27 seconds have also been removed from the song ‘O Re O Saawariya’.

After all the changes, the duration of the film has been reduced by 10 minutes and 5 seconds. According to the censor certificate, the duration of the film is 174.57 minutes i.e., Bhoot Bangla is 2 hours 44 minutes and 52 seconds long.

Directed by Priyadarshan, this film stars Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Vamika Gabbi, Mithila Palkar, Jissu Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav, Rajesh Sharma and Asrani in lead roles. This film will be released in theaters on April 17, 2026. Before that, its paid preview show has been organized on the night of 16th April.
