A major terrorist conspiracy in Delhi has been foiled by security agencies in time. Delhi Police’s Special Cell and intelligence agencies have arrested 8 people associated with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI in a joint operation. Investigative agencies say that this network was preparing to target many important places including Delhi and Mumbai. The case started when an accused named Vijay Shooter Don was arrested from Pune. On his information, another accused was caught from Sahibganj, Jharkhand. Investigation revealed that both of them were in contact with Shehzad Bhatti sitting in Pakistan and were working on his instructions.
Taking the investigation forward, the agencies arrested Tauqeer and Arbaaz Khan from Mumbai. Many more names came up during interrogation, including Muzafa and Yawar Khan. According to officials, these accused told during interrogation that a complete plan had been prepared to carry out a major terrorist incident in Delhi. Investigation has also revealed that the purpose of this network was to target security forces personnel and important strategic places in Delhi. The agencies have also found evidence which shows that many sensitive places were previously recceed.

2 people arrested from Mumbai
Taking the investigation forward, the agencies arrested Tauqeer and Arbaaz Khan from Mumbai. Many more names came up during interrogation, including Muzafa and Yawar Khan. Revelation of a man named Munna Jagda
A person named Munna Jagda is also said to be involved in the entire network. According to the investigating agencies, Munna Jagda is the same person who attacked Chhota Rajan in the year 2000. Later, after serving his sentence in Bangkok, he went to Pakistan. At present his location is said to be Karachi. Investigation has revealed that Munna Jagda had sent one of his Nepalese civilian associates to Delhi. It is alleged that financial assistance to this module was being provided through this person. Agencies believe that money and other resources for terrorist activities were being transported through this network.
Videos found from many places in Delhi and Mumbai
During the investigation, videos of many places in Delhi and Mumbai have also been recovered. These include Mumbai’s Dadar Railway Station. Apart from this, agencies have also received videos related to recce of many strategic and sensitive places of Delhi. These videos are being investigated so that the activities of the entire network can be ascertained.
Weapons made in Pakistan Ordnance Factory found
During the raid, weapons made in Pakistan Ordinance Factory were also recovered. Security agencies recovered 4 grenades from the accused, which were later safely destroyed by the National Security Guard (NSG). Apart from this, 25 live cartridges have also been found, which are said to be made in Pakistan. Two Glock pistols have also been recovered. The investigation so far has also revealed that these weapons were sent to India through drones. Agencies are also investigating the international ties and funding of this entire network. Special CP of Delhi Police told in his press conference that at present 8 accused have been arrested in this case. The investigation is still going on and the agencies are searching for other people associated with this network.
