About 400 plants can be planted in one hectare.
Big Cardamom Care and Production
This crop needs a shady environment. Therefore, it is beneficial to have big trees around farming. It is also important to weed from time to time and maintain moisture. When the fruits are ripe, the branches are cut and the fruits are dried in the shade, which maintains the quality. Apart from this, after drying, it is important to protect the cardamom from moisture and keep it in a safe place. For this, it is filled in polythene bags and kept in wooden boxes, so that it does not get spoiled and its fragrance remains for a long time.
