If we talk about big films which earned well, then films like ‘Drishyam 3’, ‘Karuppu’ and ‘Patriot’ hit the theatres. In this ‘Karuppu’, according to Sacknilk, the film made a worldwide collection of Rs 274.03 crores. ‘Drishyam 3’ did a business of Rs 207.83 crore. Its earnings are still continuing. Whereas ‘Patriot’ was a flop. May proved to be great for South films.

Two Marathi films collected close to Rs 150 crore!
Not only this, two Marathi films were released in theaters in the month of May. The first ‘Raja Shivaji’ and the second ‘Deul Band 2’ were released, which made huge profits at the box office. According to Sacknilk, the film did a worldwide business of Rs 115.39 crore in 29 days, after which it became the top hit film of Marathi. Meanwhile, ‘Deul Band 2’ earned Rs 39.15 crore in just 8 days. However, its earnings continue. After this weekend, the earnings of both Marathi films can cross Rs 150 crore.
