Vikram Digwa, a Sikh of British origin, had stabbed Henry Novak, an 18-year-old British university student, to death in December last year. After which, after the entire judicial process, he was found guilty of murder and he was sentenced to life imprisonment, but this case did not end with the conviction of the culprit. This matter has now emerged as a political controversy, due to which there is an uproar from Britain to America.
In fact, the murder of an 18-year-old British university student has given rise to a full-blown transatlantic political controversy, as US Vice President JD Vance and X platform owner Elon Musk have termed the case as a failure of immigration policy, multiculturalism and modern policing in Britain.
JD Vance responded in the matter
US Vice President JD Vance responded to the case by saying that the murder of Henry Novak was the same way as the end of a civilization and argued that the student’s death reflected the consequences of the politics of self-hatred and mass attacks on immigrants. JD Vance further said regarding the matter that if European leaders had shown strong resolve on immigration and sovereignty, Novak would still be alive today.
Musk made allegations on the murder of British student
At the same time, Elon Musk, owner of social media platform Musk requested social media users through a video post and raised the question that this matter was not given as much attention as it should have been. Additionally, Musk accused British authorities of prioritizing allegations of racism over the plight of an injured youth.
