When is the voting and counting for the by-elections?

The nomination process for the posts of member, president and councilor in these 9 districts will run daily from 11 am to 3 pm from April 10 to April 16. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on April 18, while withdrawal of nominations can be done till April 20. The allocation of election symbols will be done on 21st April.

Voting will take place from 7 am to 5 pm on May 5, while counting of votes will begin at 8 am on May 7 and the results will be declared on the same day. The above instructions regarding by-elections have been given by State Election Commissioner Raj Pratap Singh.
