How many students took the exam?
This year more than 17 lakh students registered for the examination. Of these, about 16.8 lakh students appeared in the examination. About 15 lakh students were declared successful in the result. Such a huge number in itself tells that the board exam is one of the biggest educational events in the country.

decline in pass percentage
This time the total pass percentage was 85.20%. Last year this figure was 88.39%. That means a decline of about 3.19% was recorded this year. Experts believe that the level of paper, strict testing and new digital processes could be the reasons for this change. However, the large number of students passing also shows that the hard work has paid off.

Great performance by girls
Like every year, this time too the daughters won. The pass percentage of girls was 88.86%, while that of boys was 82.13%. That means daughters were ahead by about 6.73%. This difference is not just a figure, but a picture of the changing society, where daughters are continuously progressing in education.

Which regions were top?

  • Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) recorded the highest pass percentage, around 99%.
  • Vijayawada and Chennai were also included in the top regions.
  • The performance of areas like Prayagraj and Patna was relatively low, where scope for improvement is visible.

Delhi’s demonstration

The result of capital Delhi was also satisfactory.

  • Delhi East: Around 91.73%
  • Delhi West: Around 92.34%
  • Overall Delhi: Around 91.97%

Big change brought about by digital system

The biggest feature of the result process this year was the new method of checking copies. The board implemented On-Screen Marking (OSM) system.
